With everything that is going on around the world, Epic Games is delaying Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3. It will now launch on June 17th. Epic Games explained this by saying that they decided to do this because of ongoing protests in the United States.
Epic Games has said that they know about the pain of the people. The whole community of players, team members, families, and everyone else is going through this. In a Fortnite blog post, the company stated that they are delaying the new season for the people to be with their families and with each other.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 and In-Game Event Delayed
‘The Device’, an in-game event is going to happen on June 15th. It was supposed to happen at the end of season 2. This delay is also because of the death of George Floyd. A good man who was a victim of police brutality. People are protesting against racism to bring awareness to everyone.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 was originally supposed to release in April. However, it was delayed. Now, it is being delayed again from June 17th.
With Sony delaying their PS5 event, many other gaming events are seeing delays in the wake of the protests. Besides this, many companies are showing their support through donating to multiple charities. Also, Lego made a donation of $4 million along with many others.
Ninja is hosting his own Fortnite event. It is called Ninja Battles. Here, some popular players are competing against each other to win a lot of money. Besides this, there are six events and each has a prize pool of $80,000.
